with the Sb160 has arrived the next generation of travel pivot suspension design, setting new expectations for kinematics, durability, sensitivity and strength. The frame has been refined, packing the Switch Infinity and shock link more efficiently. The stiffness of the swingarm has increased, along with the ground clearance of the frame. Yeti carbon layers have been refined to offer torsional rigidity and consistent flex profiles in all sizes. Internally routed cable tubes with secure closures at entry and exit points eliminate cable rattling and rubbing. The bottom bracket is now threaded aluminum with integrated ISCG-05 adapter, now it is more durable, cleaner and easier to maintain. The Yeti mounts the UDH universal gear hanger, which can be found in any bike shop in case of breakage. The patented two-piece wishbone on the SB160 ensures optimal grip, shock compatibility and ease of shock removal for longer ride applications. The clock proves that more progressive corners are not faster. The SB160's kinematics have been refined for the extra travel with greater control of the stop while maintaining a relatively linear progression curve. Why a linear curve? Riders experience more predictable damping characteristics throughout the course. Predictability in a competitive environment can make the difference between participating or winning. MORE BALANCED AT HIGH SPEED. The longer Reach provides greater grip and maintains a centered position. The more vertical seat angle gives agility when lowering the saddle in curves and slopes. The high-impact carbon layers have been tuned to DH standards.
