Santa Cruz Blur TR We took everything we've learned over the years by making the highest quality carbon full suspension bikes and added the super-efficient Superlight™ suspension to create a World Cup-winning XC race bike. The TR version features more travel (115 mm rear, 120 mm front), slightly beefier tires (Maxxis Rekon), a dropper post with full height adjustment, no remote lockout, and larger brake rotors. It's not a trail bike, it's an XC bike for certain rides. Our priority with Superlight™ was to ensure that every kilojoule of energy translated into forward thrust, which meant designing something that was both lightweight and truly efficient. XC racing is no longer a quick lap down the park – the tracks are challenging and the competition is fierce. With Superlight™ you get a lot of traction, but not at the expense of extra weight: by reducing the number of moving parts, bearings and linkages, we save 289g when we switch VPPs™. Unlike the VPP™, Superlight™ doesn't use a bottom link or an additional pivot somewhere in the back; The seat straps actually flex a bit. This amount is part of Blur's secret sauce and was developed through countless revisions, designs, and hours in the saddle to achieve the perfect balance between flex, cushioning, and durability.
