Tested to victory by Santa Cruz's Syndicate downhill team on the World Cup DH circuit, it's the carbon wheelset that gives you confidence when you need it most. Externally reinforced spoke holes RESERVE used to strengthen the area where the tire suffers the most, around the spoke nipple. This provides greater strength without adding unnecessary weight. With asymmetrical rims, such as those on the 31DH, stiffer, stronger and more reliable wheels are built by improving bracing angles and equalizing spoke tensions between the spokes on the drive side and the opposite side.
