CHARACTERISTICS
WHY WATER? WHY WAX? |
---|
Wax is the best lubricant for dry environments because, applied correctly, it completely coats your bike parts with a hard, leathery layer that remains unchanged for years on the trails and is dry to the touch, so that grime and dust won't stick to your chain. |
HOW TO USE
It is important that, when applied for the first time, the chain and transmission are degreased and well dried. If the chain is dirty, dirt and old lubricants will prevent the new lubricant from reaching the areas it should, thus reducing its effectiveness and lifespan.
- Degrease completely before applying a new layer of lubricant. For best results, use chain-specific degreasers.
- Be sure to rinse the chain thoroughly after applying any degreasing products.
- Wait for the chain to dry completely.
- Apply the lubricant only to the inside of the chain. The light blue color of the lubricant allows you to see exactly where it has been poured.
- Spin the chain for twenty seconds so that the lubricant penetrates the links and pulleys.
- Check to see if you've applied too much lubricant. If this happens, you'll see the lubricant start to fill the chain links. Simply pedal backwards slowly to transfer all the excess to the cassette. You will see the lubricant disappear from the links, being dispersed only where it should.
- Allow the lubricant to dry, turning from a light blue color to completely clear. (It dries in the sun sooner.) How long it takes for this to happen var depending on the weather conditions.
- Let's run!
