THE POWERTRAIN SYSTEM
The magic of Repeater PT lies in the integration of the motor and transmission. The bike's power, as well as all the electronics, always work in harmony to ensure the smoothest possible ride. On climbs, it constantly calculates your speed, power and cadence to shift automatically, without the need for you to press the shift button. In addition, the Powertrain system continues
shifting to keep the bike at the perfect cassette speed even in areas where you are not pedaling. This means that, for example, when upshifting on a downhill, the bike will be ready in the right gear for when you need to take the next pedal stroke. Whether you're pedaling at full throttle to keep up speed, or at the end of a descent just before you climb again, the bike will be ready for whatever lies ahead. The Powertrain system is complex and uses very advanced algorithms in order to create a bike that allows you to enjoy it to the best of your abilities. By reducing the number
of actions on the rider's part, you will feel how much you are concentrating on what lies ahead. Whether you're trying to climb a very technical section at once, or pedal into the exit of a turn, knowing that you're in the right gear will give you much more
confidence in every pedal stroke. It's not a matter of having a fully automatic system, but a system that assists you when you need it most. Imagine you enter a very rocky technical area, where you need all your concentration to find the best line. As you balance and try to move forward, the system takes care of shifting to the most appropriate gear before the pedal stroke. Or for example, think about that moment before you finish the climb and start the descent. Many times pedaling and shifting mid-descent isn't quite ideal, so Powertrain keeps the shifting in action by selecting the right gear aligned with your speed and acceleration, allowing you to push through the pedal stroke with confidence. The Repeater PT is first and foremost, a long travel TRANSITION designed for the
big impacts. We think this platform performs best with both 29" wheels, but you can mount a 27.5" rear wheel if you prefer. It features a 'flip chip' in the lower shock mount, so even with a diameter change, the geometry will not varíe. The frame has been developed with a focus on keeping the appearance and operation as clean and minimalist as possible. And with the SRAM AXS ecosystem with wireless shifting and seatpost operation, the only 'lines' you'll see are the brake lines. The internally positioned slide-in battery allows for a narrower down tube design and reduced weight. With a 26.6% progressive suspension system, the Repeater PT is compatible with both air and oil shocks. It is available in sizes SM to XL in two colors. The Eagle Powertrain power unit from SRAM, is powerful and reliable through its 90Nm of power, making it one of the most powerful motor systems on the market. Supported by the 720Wh SRAM battery, the motor has a very natural pedal feel to control all that power, like an extension of your own pedaling, helping you generate more power to go further. The Repeater PT has two adjustable modes for motor power: Range and Rally. Range is a lower power mode, useful for extending battery life, or use it as a mode to get to the trailhead. Rally, on the other hand, is all power to seek the highest speed and performance. By simplifying the engine levels to just two options, you no longer have to think about which mode to go for. If you need more or less power, just click the single button to switch between Range and Rally. We find this system very easy to use compared to others with multiple modes. You can keep your eyes on the road and switch modes at the same time. This is yet another aspect where the Powertrain system helps you stay focused on pedaling and nothing else. The new AXS pod remotes from SRAM, maintain all the functionality and ease of choosing between your preferences, with a minimalist
total riding position. On one side, the top button on the left knob controls Range and Rally modes, and the bottom button controls the AXS seatpost actuation.
On the right side of the handlebars, the upper knob of the control upshifts and the lower knob downshifts. A very intuitive and natural layout that is also
fully reprogrammable through the SRAM AXS App for you to select your own settings. The automatic shifting function eliminates the need for the rider to start the pedal stroke by changing gears. The Powertrain system uses an algorithm to select the appropriate cassette speed both when pedaling and when you're riding with inertia. While the 'auto shift' system takes care of shifting in most situations, there will be times when the rider will want to anticipate by shifting to the terrain ahead. In this case, the rider can use the push buttons to shift to the desired speed manually, at which point the auto shift will be paused. And if you prefer to operate your 100% shifter manually, you can turn the 'auto shift' option on or off by long pressing the top button on the right hand control. In addition, the 'auto shift' system has an option for when you let yourself be carried away by inertia, which allows you to shift at any time without moving the cranks. This is very beneficial at times such as when you are going downhill and at the end you have to climb a steep hill. This way you can have the sprocket you want selected before climbing, without having to pedal beforehand. To be able to perform this
'magic trick', the Powertrain system rotates the chainring independently without affecting your pedaling. An option that is always active even when you select manual shifting, to access this spectacular option, but still shift at your own discretion.
